USPS Holiday Shipping and Mailing Deadlines Announced

NO HOLIDAY SURCHARGES

Great news for everyone as the USPS announces it is more than ready for the peak shipping season ahead!

The Postal Service has announced it will not have a peak, or demand, surcharge this holiday season, offering increased predictability in pricing for customers.  As always, the Postal Service offers simple, upfront pricing year-round with no additional fees for residential area delivery, for Saturday delivery, no fuel surcharges and no volume minimums. The Postal Service continues to be the most affordable way to mail and ship this holiday season.

Save the Date...The GMAPCC's National PCC Week event coming in September!

The Greater Madison Area Postal Customer Council is excited to announce that we will be holding our annual PCC Day event on Thursday, September 21st!  

Mark your calendars and get ready for what is sure to be a great day of networking and information sharing with your colleagues in the mailing, shipping, and printing industries! Our schedule is nearly finalized with informative presentations coming from industry experts as well as USPS leadership from both the local and national level. This is the most important GMAPCC event of the year and you will not want to miss it. GMAPCC membership is continuing to grow and you can help by inviting your business friends and co-workers to come to PCC Day!

The beautiful American Family Insurance Headquarters in Madison is once again our host for our PCC Day gathering. There will be refreshments provided throughout the day and a midday lunch. The price for this year's event is $40. A complete agenda and speaker list will be posted soon!

Congratulations to Jeff Braaksma, USPS Customer Relations Coordinator - Wisconsin District and GMAPCC Postal Administrator for winning the PCC Postal Member of the Year Silver Award. USPS Postmaster General Louis DeJoy presented Braaksma with the award at a ceremony at USPS Headquarters in Washington D.C. on June 20, 2023.

Postal Customer Council

The PCC is a postal-sponsored organization. The mission of the PCC Program is to:

  • Promote local cooperation and support and to foster a close working relationship between the U.S. Postal Service and all businesses that use the mail to communicate and interact with their customers;
  • Share information and facilitate the exchange of ideas about new and existing Postal Service products, programs, services, and procedures that affect all businesses that use the mail; and
  • Help PCC industry members and their organizations grow and develop professionally through focused educational programs.
